Reproducibility and Open Access Event In-Person

**Still time to register and join today's event**

Join us for a half day open science and reproducibility conference to celebrate Northumbria joining the UK Reproducibility Network (UKRN).

This event offers you a great opportunity to learn more about the key areas of open research and how it can benefit your work.

The event is open to all Northumbria staff and PGR students.

Open Research covers a wide range of practices and principles designed to increase the transparency, re-usability and discoverability of your research.  This is becoming increasingly important for the advancement of research and promotion of reproducibility, quality, and integrity.

At Northumbria, we encourage our researchers to be as open as possible, as early as possible, to a wide range of audiences. Studies show that open research attracts more attention since it is easily accessible. As well as giving you higher citation rates, it raises your research profile, increases your chances to collaborate with others, and aligns you with funder policies.

Benefits of attending this event:

  • Learn more about open science, the UK Reproducibility Network, and wider issues affecting research in the UK.
  • Gain insight into open research practices at Northumbria - hear about the work being undertaken by colleagues within your department and wider faculty.
  • Have the opportunity to discuss any aspect of reproducibility and/or open research practices in your own work.
  • Hear from guest speakers who will showcase best practice in open science and reproducibility, and how they contribute to the success of their institutions.
  • Network with other staff and PGRs with similar interests.
